Soviet Order of the Red Star #1101857

Made of silver and enamels. Measures 49.74 mm in width, 48.08 mm in height and weighs 30.0 gram without its screwplate. The mint mark is located above, and the serial number underneath the screw post.

This original order is in nice condition with crisp details and sharp edges. The enamel of the 7 o’clock ray of the red star has professionally been replaced but this is hardly visible. Only on close inspection one can see it is epoxy and not hot enamel. Its well fitted screwplate is time period of the order and its screw has not been shortened.

Probably awarded late 1944 so with nice research potential

The Soviet Order of the Red Star was given to Red Army and Navy personnel for exceptional service in the cause of the defense of the Soviet Union; in both war and peace. Also awarded for 15 years of service prior to the creation of the long service awards.
