“On July 18, 1942, while comrade Trubkin was a Private, the squad leader was taken out of action. Comrade Trubkin assumed command of the squad and inspired his men through personal example to follow him, after which they killed 5 Hitlerites near Myasnoi Bor.

In May 1943, when the enemy launched an offensive near Chornaya Rechka and the Sinyavino peat fields, comrade Trubkin’s squad maintained pressure on the enemy and prevented him from advancing even one step. During this battle he killed 12 Hitlerites with his light machine gun.

On January 3, 1944, during the fighting near Leningrad, comrade Trubkin and a group of fellow soldiers penetrated into the enemy’s rear near the village of Pogi in Leningrad Province, where they ensured the advancing forces could quickly push forward.

On July 25, 1944, during the offensive in the direction of Narva, comrade Trubkin, serving as battalion Komsomol organizer, took the place of a company commander who had been taken out of action. Under his command the company accomplished its assignment, while he simultaneously oversaw the battalion’s Komsomol activities.

Comrade Trubkin has been serving in the 223rd Reserve Rifle Regiment since November 1, 1944. During this time he has shown himself a disciplined and able Komsomol official. He makes the utmost effort and commits all of his strength to build the morale of the young, instilling in them a sense of dedication to the socialist motherland and teaching them to fulfill their military duty.

He is politically developed, morally stalwart, and dedicated to the cause of the Party of Lenin and Stalin and the socialist motherland.”
