For organizing production of spare parts like T-34 tank tracks. By doing so he helped accelerating the victory over the enemy by ensuring the tanks could be repaired and returned for combat operations in a timely fashion
Made of solid gold, silver and enamels. Measures 45.59 mm in height, 44.03 mm in width and weighs 31.4 grams without its screwplate. The serial number is located at the 6 o’clock position and the mint mark Monetni Dvor is located at the 12 o’clock position of its reverse.
In excellent condition with light overall wear. The details are crisp and even the higher laying parts like the hammer and sickle are well defined. Both the white and red enamels are problem free apart from two small superficial chips on the 12 and 7 o’clock rays of the red star. Its well fitted silver screwpate is time period to the order and the screw has not been shortened.

Brief description of his feat of arms or achievements:
Executing the special task given by the Commander of the armoured and motorised troops, chief engineer of the 116 mobile armour mechanics repair plant conducted exceptionally extensive work for organisation of spare parts manufacturing on the Silesian territory and utilising the local supplies and production facilities.
During the last 2 months, comrade BUTENKO organised production of critically scares spare parts: tracks for T-34 tanks, track pins for all tank types, bold bearings with a spindle for the leading wheels, gearwheels for the main transmission shifter boxes, and the others. This accelerated the victory over the enemy by ensuring the tanks could be repaired and returned for combat operations in a timely fashion. The work conducted by comrade BUTENKO significantly eased the burden over the Soviet economy for the spare part deliveries and reduced the amount of the freight transported over the railway lines.
Comrade BUTENKO deserves state award order “PATRIOTIC WAR I CLASS”.
