Awarded to Guards Colonel Sergey Vasilevich Efimov (Сергей Васильевич Ефимов)
For long service in 1944
Please note the partially re-engraved serial number
Made of solid silver and enamels. Measures 45.51 mm in height, 37.65 mm in width and it weighs 25.7 gram without its suspension. The serial number and curved mint mark are located at the 6 o’clock position of its reverse. Please note the 2nd and 3rd digit of the serial number. These numbers were erased and two new numbers (22) were engraved over it. This could either be the result of an error or a reusing an old piece.
This Order of the Red Banner is in pristine condition with full gold plating and crisp details. Even the higher laying parts like center wreath show virtually no wear. The stunning red and white enamels are without repairs, dings or scratches and a light patina covers the silver on both sides. Its connection ring has been cut and the suspension is time period to the order.
We found a scan of a picture of Col. Efimov and added it in the picture gallery. You can clearly see him wearing this very same Order of the Red Banner
