Researched Soviet Order of the Red Banner #67227

Awarded to Guards Lieutenant Aleksander Nikitich Bannikov (Александр Никитич Банников)

For personally eliminating up to two platoons of enemy infantry and suppressing three enemy firing positions while being wounded

This order of the Red Banner made of solid silver and enamels. Measures 40.97 mm in height and 36.11 mm in width. It weighs 25.5 grams. The serial number and the mint mark are located at the 6 o’clock position of its reverse.

The order is in excellent, far above average condition. All details are crisp and even the higher laying parts such as the torch and the flagpole show little wear. The red enamel is almost completely present and only shows a minor chip at the bottom of the top banner and the 9 o’clock ray of the center star. The white enamel is flawless. The order has not been converted to a suspension type and the screwpost is full length. It comes with its time period silver screw plate.

Great research. Hard to find in this condition!
