This\u00a0Medal for the Salvation of the Drowning is made out of gilded brass. Measurements; 32.13 mm in diameter and 14.9 gram in weight (not including its suspension).<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The\u00a0medal is in excellent condition with all details crisp and most gold plating present. It has only a few miniscule scratches and even the higher laying parts show little wear. The ribbon, as well as the suspension itself are time period to the medal.<\/p>\n

The award booklet is dated 21st of May 1985 and is in problem free condition with all pages present.<\/p>\n

Awarded to any person (of any nationality) for courage, bravery and selflessness whilst rescuing a person\/people from water. Also awarded for outstanding vigilance and resourcefulness preventing drowning or for excellence in organizing\u00a0of rescue operations in Soviet waters or of Soviet citizens.<\/em><\/p>\n
