To Red Navy sailor Teslyk Efim Demidovich (\u0422\u0435\u0441\u043b\u044b\u043a \u0415\u0444\u0438\u043c \u0414\u0435\u043c\u0438\u0434\u043e\u0432\u0438\u0447)<\/span><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n For fighting and bravery on the floating batteries “Red Georgia” and “Red Adjarisatan”<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n This piece is literally a textbook example for it is portrayed in ‘Soviet Orders and Medals’ by Andrew Reznik (page 160-161) <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Made of solid silver. Measurements; 35.82 mm in width; 48.02 mm in height. Weight; 30.9 gram without its suspension. Featuring admiral Ushakov surrounded by 84 ‘pearls’. The serial number, “2539”, is located on the reverse of the medal. The minimum known serial number is 9 and the maximum 15704.\u00a0\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n This Medal of Ushakov is in excellent condition. There are several dings and scratches and the higher laying parts show some wear although the details are perfectly visible. Both sides (but especially the reverse) show a dark patina. It appears two letters are carved on its reverse by the awardee (?). Possibly two M’s although I am not sure.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Scarce piece!<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n <\/p>\n Brief, concrete description of his feat of arms:<\/strong><\/p>\n “Comrade TESLYK participated in the combat operations on the floating batteries “Red Georgia” and “Red Adjarisatan” from the beginning of the Patriotic war.<\/p>\n In all the combat operations on the floating batteries “Red Georgia” and “Red Adjarisatan”, he proved himself as a brave, courageous, and strong willed warrior. Under hurricane of the enemy fire, he participated in setting up the landing bridges and providing for disembarkment of ammunition, supplies, and the personnel.<\/p>\n During the enemy air strikes, he was on his anti-aircraft cannon combat station and skilfully deflected the enemy air attacks.<\/p>\n For exhibited courage and bravery in battle, he is worthy of a state award “USHAKOV” medal.<\/p>\n Commander of the floating battery \u201cRed Adjaristan\u201d Lt. Commander signature \/POKROVSKY\/<\/p>\n Red Navy sailor TESLYK took part in the Patriotic war from its very first day until the Victory day. He exhibited courage and bravery in battle.
