Medal for the Defense of the Polar Region: made of gilded brass. Measures 32.09 mm in width,\u00a0<\/span>37.24 mm in height, including the eyelet and it weighs 17.2 gram.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This medal is in nice condition with several dings and small scratches. All details however are perfectly visible and a fair amount of gold plating is still present. The double layer suspension is time period to the medal as is the faded ribbon. We can deliver a new ribbon on request without additional costs.<\/p>\n

The Medal “For the Defense of the Soviet Transarctic” was awarded to all participants in the defense of the Soviet Arctic region – soldiers of the Red Army, Navy and troops of the NKVD, as well as persons from the civilian population who took part in the defense of the North.<\/em><\/p>\n
