It measures 41.52 mm in height, 37.39 mm in width and weighs 24.0 gram without its screwplate. The serial number and mint mark are located at the 6 o’clock position of its reverse. The minimum known serial number in this range is 67729 and the maximum 79807.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n In nice, above average condition. The details are mostly present and even the higher laying parts like the center wreath shows little wear only. The enamel shows some chipping which is often seen with these fragile screwback Red Banners. Still, the damage is far less than average and over 90% of the enamels is still present. Much gold plating is still present and the screwpost has not been shortened. It comes with its time period silver screwplate.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n A scarce screwback in nice condition with very interesting research!<\/p>\n <\/p>\n “Comrade Y.Y. Slobodyanik, who serves in the battalion as a sapper in a miner and engineer company, received orders by nightfall on September 21, 1943, along with the rest of his unit, to enable the armored vehicles of the 8th Guards Tank Corps\u2019s tank brigades to cross to the right bank of the Dnieper River.<\/p>\n Along with his unit commander comrade Y.Y. Slobodyanik crossed the Dnieper River near Kozintsy-Zarubentsy on a fishing boat under heavy enemy artillery and mortar shelling and aerial bombardment. Under the cover of darkness comrade Y.Y. Slobodyanik and his squad leader used locally available materials to construct a berth, thus enabling the first rafts with combat vehicles and timber to reach the shore to build additional berths and walkways.<\/p>\n While carrying out the combat mission of enabling the tank brigade\u2019s armored vehicles to cross to the right bank of the Dnieper River over the course of the night, comrade Y.Y. Slobodyanik displayed heroism, valor, and bravery.
