It measures 32.17 mm in diameter and 2.78 mm in thickness. The height of the medal is 37.21 mm (including the eyelet) and it weighs 21.8 gram.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n This original medal is in excellent, well above average condition with most details crisp. Even the eyelids of both Lenin and Stalin are crisp and the often worn down hammer and sickle at the bottom of the obverse is fully visible. Both sides show several tiny dings and scratches, not distracting from the overall appearance. This was done on February 2, 1943, by decree of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR. It recognised the courage of the partisans in their struggle to free the Soviet Motherland behind enemy lines. Its statute was amended by a further decree of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR in 1947.<\/em><\/p>\n\n
