Made of gold plated brass. Measures 32.10 in diameter, 37.02 mm in height and weighs 15.9 gram without its suspension.<\/p>\n

The medal is in near mint condition with crisp details and full gold plating. Its suspension is time period to the medal as is its old ribbon and uncut connection ring.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

These post-war issues were awarded by a Voenkomat (Military Commissariat) at the veteran\u2019s place of residence. The reasons for the late issue could vary but in most instances; the Voenkomat medals were \u201ccatch-up\u201d awards to those who had taken part in the battle and then somehow overlooked by the awarding authorities during WW2 and in the immediate post-war years.<\/p>\n
