Medal for Distinction in Guarding the State Border of the USSR

Solid silver piece with a ‘flat’ eyelet. The earliest and most rare variation of this medal
\n<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Made of solid silver. It measures 32.13 mm in width and 2.99 mm in thickness at the very edge of the medal. The height of the medal is 37.10 mm including its eyelet and it weighs 21.4 gram without its suspension.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The medal is in excellent condition with crisp details. It shows light wear only and even the details of the higher laying parts are perfectly visible. Both sides show an appealing dark patina with beautiful ‘rainbow-like’ toning and its connection ring has not been cut. The medal comes with its time period brass suspension and old ribbon.<\/p>\n
