Made of solid silver and enamels. Measures 45.99 mm in height including its eyelet, 37.86 mm in width and weighs 24.3 gram without its suspsnion. The serial number and the mint mark Monetni Dvor <\/em>are located at the 6 o’clock position of its reverse. The minimum serial number known in this range is 285058 and the maximum is 333421.<\/p>\n

This order of the Red Banner is in excellent condition with full gold plating and crisp details. The white enamel is flawless and the red enamel problem free apart from a chip on the bottom ray of the center red star. There are no repairs but the connection ring has been cut. Its double layer steel suspension is time period to the order as is the ribbon.<\/p>\n

The Order of the Red Banner recognized\u00a0military deeds. Before the establishment of the Order of Lenin, the order functioned as the highest (and practically the only) military order of the USSR. Practically all well-known Soviet commanders became Cavaliers of this Order. Also awarded to NKVD personnel.<\/em><\/p>\n
