Awarded to private Nikolaj Nikolaevich Kalinsky<\/b> (\u041d\u0438\u043a\u043e\u043b\u0430\u0439 \u041d\u0438\u043a\u043e\u043b\u0430\u0435\u0432\u0438\u0447 \u041a\u0430\u043b\u0438\u043d\u0441\u043a\u0438\u0439)<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n For remaining at his observation post, even after the enemy tanks passed him on the both flanks. By doing so he was able to reported all the details to the commanders post <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n The action described at hill 106.6 took place just before the German attempted to break through to their troops trapped in Stalingrad<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n Made of solid silver and lacquer. The medal itself measures 32.34 mm in diameter and 36.96 mm in height including the eyelet. It weighs 22.1 gram without its suspension and 30.9 gram with the suspension but without the nut. The eyelet is 5.73 mm in width and the suspension measures 25.42 mm in width at its narrowest point and 31.50 at its widest point.<\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n The medal is in excellent, far above average condition with relatively few dings and scratches and most details crisp. The lacquer filling the letters ‘CCCP’ is mostly present and original although some of it is covered with some dirt. The silver suspension is original as is the silver screwpost, hexagon nut, the brass screwplate containing the text ‘Monetnij Dvor’ and the plate holding the ribbon. Its connection ring has not been cut and its ribbon appears to be original.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Scare to find with all parts original and with feats for the Battle of Stalingrad<\/b>!<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n <\/p>\n <\/p>\n As the artillery unit spotter, he was manning the squadrons filed observation post near the hill 106.6 on 10 December 1942. When the enemy armour attack took place, he didn\u2019t abandon his observation post, even after the enemy tanks passed his observation post position on the both flanks. He continued his mission and reported all the details to the commanders post.
