Comrade Kravtsov showed exceptional courage and bravery when taking the city of \u0160iauliai. Moving ahead of the advancing units, comrade Kravtsov and a group of machine gunners captured at the \u0160iauliai training airdrome: 6 disabled enemy aircraft, 28 motor vehicles, 14 tractors, 4 warehouses with spare parts and ammunition and 3 fuel tanks and at the same time they annihilated 30 enemy soldiers and officers.<\/p>\n When attacking the city of Jelgava, comrade Kravtsov was ordered to cut off the railway and highway routes of the enemy\u2019s retreat from the city in a northwest direction. Having moved a long way through wooded and swampy terrain, comrade Kravtsov brilliantly and timely completed this task, defeating 4 rifle- and 1 supply company of the enemy in a meeting battle, capturing 62 soldiers, 4 food depots and 18 vehicles. He held the occupied positions until the arrival of the main forces.
