\nMedal\u00a0for the Victory over Germany in the Great Patriotic War 1941\u20131945 (Voenkomat)<\/b><\/span><\/h5>\n

Made of gold plated brass. Measures 32.13 mm in width, <\/span>37.18 mm in height, including the eyelet and it weighs 16.0 gram without its suspension.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

TIn near mint condition with all details crisp and full gold plating it comes with its time period aluminium suspension.<\/p>\n

These post-war issues were awarded by a Voenkomat (Military Commissariat) at the veteran’s place of residence. The reasons for the late issue could vary but in most instances; the Voenkomat medals were “catch-up” awards to those who had taken part in the battle and then somehow overlooked by the awarding authorities during WW2 and in the immediate post-war years.<\/p>\n

Awarded to Soviet service personnel who were on active service during The Great Patriotic War<\/em>. Also awarded to some allied forces such as the post 9 September 1944 Bulgarian Armed Forces.<\/em><\/p>\n
