Soviet Order of the October Revolution #69255<\/span><\/strong><\/h5>\n

Variation 2 with 5 rivets\u00a0<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Made of solid silver, gold and enamels. It measures 44.03 mm in height, 43.40 mm in width and weighs 31.0 gram without its suspension. The serial number and the mint mark Monetni Dvor <\/em>are located at the center of the reverse. This late variation with 5 rivets is made out of three parts; the base piece, the pentagon center piece showing the Aurora cruiser and the gold hammer and sickle.<\/p>\n

The order is in a nice condition with crisp details.There are no substantial dings or scratches and the gold hammer and sickle is original to the order. Unfortunately there is some enamel damage on the top and 3 o’clock ray of the red star. Although the chips are not small, it does not distract too much from the overall appeal of the order. Mainly because it only penetrates the silver on one small spot on top. Its connection ring has not been cut and the suspension is time period to the award.<\/p>\n

The Order of the October Revolution (\u041e\u0440\u0434\u0435\u043d \u041e\u043a\u0442\u044f\u0431\u0440\u044c\u0441\u043a\u043e\u0439 \u0420\u0435\u0432\u043e\u043b\u044e\u0446\u0438\u0438) was instituted on October 31, 1967. This was due to the 50th anniversary of the October Revolution. It was conferred upon individuals or groups for services furthering communism or the state. As well as for enhancing the defenses of the Soviet Union, military and civil. It is second highest Soviet order, after the Order o<\/em>f Lenin.<\/em><\/p>\n
