Order of Glory 2nd class awarded to private Nazar Iosifovich Boichenko (\u041d\u0430\u0437\u0430\u0440 \u0418\u043e\u0441\u0438\u0444\u043e\u0432\u0438\u0447 \u0411\u043e\u0439\u0447\u0435\u043d\u043a\u043e)<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n

For capturing an enemy scout<\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

Order of Glory 2nd class; Made of silver and enamels.\u00a0So called ‘thin’ variation (see picture for comparison).\u00a0Measures 46.89 mm in width; 49.01 mm in height and weighs 19.6 gram. The serial number is located on top of its reverse.<\/p>\n

This original order is in very nice condition with most details visible and a substantial amount of the gold plating present. The red enamel is problem free apart for a chip at the right side of the red banner above the Cyrillic ‘A’. Both sides show far less wear than average for these orders which were worn during battle. The order comes with a time period brass suspension.<\/p>\n

This order was sold by Collectrussia in 1996. On request we can delver the invoice and accompanying letter from that time.<\/p>\n

“In the morning of July 31, 1944, during the Vistula River crossings; the enemy brought down accurate artillery fire onto our bank. The fire was adjusted from our bank by a German scout. Comrade Boichenko was the first to spot him; took him prisoner; and brought him to the division staff.”<\/p>\n
