Medal for the Defense of Leningrad: made of gilded brass. Measures 32.12 mm in width;\u00a0<\/span>37.49 mm in height, including the eyelet and it weighs 17.5 gram.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

This medal is in excellent condition with perfect details and most gold plating still present. The double layer suspension is time period to the medal.<\/p>\n

Awarded to all Soviet military and civilians who participated in the defense of Leningrad between September 1941 and January 1944.\u00a0The Medal was a World War II campaign medal established on December 22, 1942. It recognized the valor and hard work of the Soviet civilian and military defenders of Leningrad during the 872-day siege of the city by the German armed forces.\u00a0<\/em><\/p>\n
