Documented Group of Soviet Medals

The group consists of the following items:

 

Medal for Courage in a Fire with its medal booklet:

Made of silvered brass. Measures 32.15 mm in width, 37.10 mm in height including its eyelet and it weighs 17.2 gram without its suspension. 

This medal is in a great condition with crisp details. There are very few contact marks only and both sides show an appealing luster. The medal comes with its time period suspension.

Its accompanying booklet is in excellent condition with all pages firmly attached. It is dated 16 April 1988.

 

Medal for Impeccable Service in the Fire Department 3rd class with document:

Made of gilded brass. Measures 32.03 mm in width, 36.90 mm in height including its eyelet and it weighs 15.6 gram without its suspension.

In nice condition with light wear and most gold plating still present. The medal comes with its time period suspension.

Its document is dated 12 October 1990

 

Jubilee Medal for 70 Years of the Armed Forces of the USSR with document:

Made of gilded brass. Measures 32.08 mm in width, 36.93 mm in height including its eyelet and it weighs 15.8 gram without its suspension.

In nice condition with light wear and few contact marks only. The medal comes with its time period suspension.

Its document is dated 23 February 1988

 

Medal from the Grateful Afghan People with document:

Made of gilded brass and lacquer. Measures 32.04 mm in width, 36.82 mm in height including its eyelet and it weighs 16.7 gram without its suspension.

In excellent condition with full gold plating and all lacquer still present.

The medal comes with its document dated 4 January 1990

 

Several documents such as Ovsienko’s military passport and union card. Some contain original pictures of him.
