Awarded to Sergeant Grigory Zinovievich Lunga (Григорий Зиновьевич Лунга)

 

For supporting infantry offensive actions and personally destroying two armed vehicles and one enemy tank. Sgt. Lunga was severely wounded

 

Made of silver and enamels. Measures 46.53 mm in width, 48.59 mm in height and weighs 21.4 gram without its suspension.

 

In superb, well above average condition with crisp details and few dings and scratches to the silver only. Even the higher laying parts like the tower and wreath show almost no wear. The red enamels are beautiful and without chipping or repairs. Its connection ring has not been cut and the order comes with a time period ribbon and suspension.

Short translation of the research:

While being a canon commander of 76 battery of 91 guardian rifle division and 33 guardian rifle division, comrade Lunga Grigoriy Zinovievich had mission to destroy enemy fortified position and suppress enemy fire positions, which precluded further moving of ally forces.

When the canon gunner was killed by enemy artillery fire, comrade Lunga took his place and suppressed fire position by sharp shoot and gave the possibility on successfully relocation of ally infantry. Enemy bombard squad were taken into captivity and 4 pieces of artillery were taken as trophies

While completing the mission of forcing river M. Krinki comrade Lunga with his canon was supporting offensive actions of infantry and personally hit two armed vehicles and one enemy tank
