Made of silver and enamels. The order measures 47.86 mm in width, 45.86 mm in height and weighs 28.5 grams without its screwplate. The serial number is located at the 6 o’clock position and the mint mark on the 12 o’clock position of its reverse. This early variation has a round base ‘heel’ of the screw.
In a nice, above average condition. The details are mostly visible although some of the higher laying parts of the soldier show medium wear. The enamels are beautiful and problem free with minor contact marks only. There have been no repairs and the screwpost is full length. It comes with its time period silver screwplate.
Brief, concrete description of his feat of arms or achievements:
“Guards Lieutenant comrade LEZHENKOV has participated in the battles against he German invaders. Leading his artillery battery, he has been all the time present among the combat formations of the supported rifle units. During the combat period from 26 February till 19 March, his battery inflicted the following damage: 4 pillboxes destroyed, 9 firing positions suppressed, eliminated up to 2 platoons of the enemy infantry. During all these actions ,comrade LEZHENKO was on the observation post and proved himself as one the most capable commanders. He deserves state award order “RED STAR””
